I bought this as a gift for my father who used to be a chef. I researched many top dollar brands and this is the one you want to own. The handle construction on this is what makes it really special and truly durable. Buy it plain instead of blue. The blue seasoning isn't necessary and will come off anyways as you season it yourself so I bought it bare knowing my dad would want to season it himself. Note: this does come oiled even when you order it without the blue seasoning.

Quick season

While I’ve only used this wok a few times, and had it only 24 hours, I’m immediately impressed by how expeditious the seasoning process has been. It’s patina has already developed well after three uses and four to five rounds of seasoning.

As far as using, I run a gas range on the highest heat possible, and am fairly generous with the oil. It’s very similar to using a cast iron skillet; heat and oil create a very slick, nonstick surface that can retain flavor.

So far, egg fried rice, scrambled eggs and some onion has been cooked and virtually nothing has remained in the wok after dumping into the serving dish.

Very pleased.

Cooked fajitas for my first time ever using a wok. Pan handles instinctively, hearty not heavy, can't believe the difference if made. Easy to learn to read and use. This pan will stay with me till the grave. Took me 3 trys to get mac an cheese right. If I can learn this pan on first use anyone can.
